Water is diluted, heated, and filtered through a recirculation system (chlorine-based chemicals are used for hygiene management)
◎ Indications
Individuals indications for therapeutic hot springs: Chronic muscle and joint pain and stiffness (rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, low back pain, neuralgia,frozen shoulder, chronic phases of contusions and sprains), muscle stiffness associated with motor paralysis, sensitivity to cold, peripheral circulatory disorders, impaired gastrointestinal function, mild hypertension, impaired glucose tolerance (diabetes), mild hypercholesterolemia, mild asthma or emphysema,pain from hemorrhoids, autonomic nervous system disorders, stress-related symptoms (such as sleep disorders and depressive states), convalescence after illness, recovery from fatigue, and health promotion.
Indications by spring quality: cuts, peripheral circulatory disorders, sensitivity to cold, depressive states, and dry skin.

Regarding Children’s Use of Mixed-Gender Baths
The Oita Prefecture Public Bathhouse Act Enforcement Ordinance has been amended, and effective January 1, Reiwa 4, the age restriction for mixed-gender bathing has been lowered to “children aged 7 and older are not permitted to bathe together.” Children may be taken to the opposite-gender bathing area only until the age of 6.
